The Boundary Commission for Scotland has published its revised proposals. You may remember the initial proposal for South Edinburgh was to create a new constituency that spanned from Leith Walk to the Pentland Hills.
Thankfully, following evidence presented by me and other local groups the Commission has amended those proposals as follows:
These changes are welcome, but it is very unlikely that these proposals will win a majority in parliament. It is therefore very likely that the next general election will be fought on the current boundaries.
